Networking and Events
Date: 1st Tuesday Time: 8:30am – 9:30am Chair: Jennifer Birk
The Networking/Events Committee oversees most events with particular focus on those events that provide business relationship building opportunities. The committee primarily oversees the monthly chamber breakfast, the monthly mixer and the monthly member orientation. Their goal is to ensure high value to members, high energy at the event and high attendance to ensure networking opportunities for Chamber members.

TheGovernment Committee oversees the chamber’s advocacy efforts and all other civic engagement activities. Serving as the business advocacy action team, they vet proposed legislation, ordinances, and other civic impact issues. They may play a role in evaluating existing codes & policies, issue formal letters of Inquiry, propose chamber positions to the chamber board for a vote and occasionally serve as forum for hearing business grievances. This committee may also oversee candidate forums and various community or chamber “meet & greets.”

The Ambassadors are the “face of the chamber” and serve as the key relationship builders among Chamber members. Ambassadors contact all new members and take them on a “tour” to ensure they attend our four monthly Chamber events. They assist new members to learn about the programs and experience immediate value from their membership.

The Finance Committee is overseen by 3 members of the Chamber Board of Directors and due to the confidential nature of the subject, it is not open to the membership at large.
The Committee is responsible for reviewing the financials on a monthly basis to verify accuracy, recognize trends and create solutions to foster a strong and vibrant Chamber.
